Pneumatic actuators or cylinders are mechanical devices that use compressed air.
They are a popular way to clamp, position and transfer parts in automated equipment; offering one of the simplest ways to achieve mechanical motion and fixturing of parts.
Breakdowns caused by pneumatic cylinder failure can have a significant impact on production line productivity, and ultimately profitability. This type of breakdown can be stressful in any situation.
These issues become more intense when the cylinder in question is not available off-the-shelf and may need to be shipped from abroad or built from scratch.
Made in the Midlands member, Camozzi Automation is tackling the problem by expanding its industry-leading, UK-based cylinder service to include Series 52 rodless cylinders which will be available as standard or in slide bearing versions.

The service development means replacement rodless cylinders can be supplied faster than ever before and production-line downtime minimised.
Series 52 builds on all the benefits associated with rodless cylinders; being particularly suitable for long stroke applications as there’s no bending of the piston rod.
To cater to a wider range of applications, the product is purchasable as double-acting, magnetic or cushioned.
